About Beth

Hey! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

My life shifted on a dime in 2013 when I was diagnosed with colon cancer.

Before, I poured every ounce of energy into my publishing company. Helping our authors sell books gave me my groove.

But then came the cancer diagnosis. Next came a botched surgery. After that, the world of cancer treatment.

All of this gave birth to a tremendous dark night of the soul.

Ten years later, after nearly a decade of soul searching, I undertook a most interesting spiritual journey that led me to this exact moment: The moment I knew it was time to navigate my life not toward the “sure thing,” not towards the familiar… but towards my Polaris… my reason for being.

You see, I know life isn’t a promise, nor is it a guarantee. I’ve faced death square in the face. I experienced crushing defeats. I’ve contemplated whether existence was worth the pain.

And I made it to the other side.

Throughout that experience, I reignited my interest in faith, love, perseverance, and creativity. Today, these topics are my life work. As long as I’m able, this is what I choose to do: Help my fellow travelers navigate their own dark night of the soul.

To that end, I earned a Ph.D. in Spiritual Counseling, I continue to publish books and create content on this topic. But most of all, I treasure the moments when I sit down with my clients and help them untangle the snarliest situation, always pointing them towards their own, personal, Polaris.

Interestingly, spiritual matters have become quite complicated these days. It’s my job to simplify the situation and tease away some of the more troublesome aspects of modern spirituality. These aspects include the twisting of ancient concepts such as the Law of Attraction, manifesting, purity, gender identities, wealth, and more.

Each of these topics, while some contain a kernel of truth, has often become a judgemental whip to injure others, create obscene wealth for some, and continually clouding the truth of our creator.

Nope. I’m not slick. I’m not everyone’s cuppa tea, either.

But boy, do I love my job. I also adore my clients. The folks attracted to my services are some of the most courageous, amazing, and awesome people I’ve had the privilege to meet.
